About Katy Shay
Katy is a fully qualified and registered Homeopath and has been practicing Homeopathy both locally and internationally since 1999.
She trained in London and Manchester and has a busy clinic now on the Wirral and is also a member of The Travelling Homeopaths Collective.
Katy’s previous career was in Tropical Medicine having studied to Doctorate level.

However, her direction changed when her second son received great benefits from Homeopathy for his asthma and eczema and her scientific mind was called to explore this system of medicine.
Following very positive results from homeopathy for her third son’s health issues as a baby, she decided to embark on homeopathic training in 1994 and has never looked back.
Her journey into Holistic medicine has evolved as she is now also a Flower Essence Practitioner, Reiki Master, Yoga Teacher, Nutritional Therapist, Doula and Sound Healer.
She runs popular women’s groups, relaxation sessions, workshops and retreats.
Katy has also been a lecturer at Homeopathic Colleges and universities; and runs Reiki Training Courses and Yoga Classes.
She has been privileged to have attended many births as a Doula and is now Director of Zest Midwives, a new company supporting Independent Midwives to access Insurance to cover the continuum of care for birthing women, thus providing autonomy for midwives and freedom of choice for women.
Katy is passionate about supporting people in achieving their fullest possible health and being a medical detective searching for any blocks to cure.
Her belief is that True Health is not just absence of symptoms but feeling fully alive!
Her life is very busy but very rewarding!

Cliff first qualified in Acupuncture in 2011 and since this time has qualified in many supporting practices including; Moxabustion, Cupping, Gua Sha, Electro Acupuncture, Magnet Remedial Therapy, Auricular Acupuncture (including NADA and Battle field protocols), Micro-system Acupuncture, Facial and Cosmetic Acupuncture,. He is also a qualified Phlebotomist.
Cliff’s interest in the Oriental perspective on health and well-being began almost 30 years ago when he first started to practice the exercise systems Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Do-in. His first qualification as a practitioner was gained in Shatsu in 2004. He developed on this by studying a number of healing arts including Reflexology and various massage techniques.
In 2008 Cliff had a serious accident. The trauma to his left knee caused the synovial joint to be ruptured and the bursa was impinged. He found load bearing and walking excruciatingly painful. A consultant surgeon described the injury as only treatable through surgery. Cliff told the surgeon he would like to try acupuncture first.
The surgeon’s response was that if surgery was not done promptly that Cliff would return begging for the surgery within three months. Within three weeks (initially two treatments per week) of acupuncture Cliff could feel considerable improvement. Over the following three months he received one treatment per week, including Moxa (burning herbs on the acupuncture needles), electro acupuncture, magnets taped to the knee and worn after the treatments and supporting exercises advised. The knee made a complete recovery. This remarkable result inspired Cliff to study to become an acupuncturist himself.
